OK so signing a two year contract to work in Austria may seem a little crazy considering that I don't speak German or drink beer. However everyone around me said go for it or you can't let an opportunity like this pass by. So here I am sitting looking out at a mountain with a cable car. I left Christchurch the day after the worst snow storm in 16 years and on the coldest day ever recorded. 1 car trip (on roads covered with black ice), 2 planes, 2 train rides, 1 bus ride and 36 hours later I arrived in my new home town. Now for a few days of rest before a two week trip around central europe.
That sounds like a journey and a half!! Perhaps the snow storm over here was to prepare you for an Austrian winter. Enjoy your adventure!! KA
